We're looking for an experienced Garment Technician to own the technical execution behind bringing new product to life — tech packs, fittings, sample tracking and wear testing. This isn't an entry-level support role: you'll be expected to run your own sample rounds and keep multiple styles moving without needing close supervision, including proactively tracking critical path and flagging risk or slippage before it becomes a problem. Organisation and follow-through matter as much here as technical skill — you'll be one of the people holding the development calendar together as our range and collaboration volume grow.
Reports to: Product Innovation Lead.
What you'll do
- Own the tracking of development samples end-to-end — logging submission and due dates, proactively chasing suppliers, and flagging any risk to the critical path before it becomes a delivery problem
- Maintain critical path and development trackers as the single source of truth for where every style stands
- Build and maintain tech packs, size specs and bills of materials under the Product Innovation Lead's direction, including measurement sketches, construction annotations and artwork placement pages
- Maintain grading and grade rules across the full size range, ensuring consistent fit at every size
- Receive, check and measure incoming samples against spec
- Run fit sessions — measuring garments, recording fit comments, and issuing clear, well-documented feedback to suppliers
- Review and sign off pre-production (PP) samples before styles move into bulk production
- Own quality control during bulk production — reviewing pre-shipment samples for compliance, investigating faults, and working with factories to resolve issues quickly and prevent recurrence
- Coordinate wear testing with riders, tracking feedback and flagging fit or construction issues
- Maintain the sample library so development samples are easy to identify and reference
- Provide technical fabric and product information to the e-commerce team so website product info stays accurate and current
- Handle day-to-day factory communication on styles already in development — follow-ups, clarifications and timeline checks
What you'll bring
- 2–5 years' experience in apparel product development, garment technology, or a similar technical role
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for specs and tech packs, with working knowledge of 3D design software such as CLO
- A naturally organised, self-directed approach — you keep your own trackers current without being asked, and you're comfortable flagging a risk or delay to your manager rather than waiting to be asked about it
- Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail, with comfort juggling many moving pieces at once
- Confidence running fit sessions and making spec adjustments independently
- Clear communicator, comfortable liaising directly with factories and vendors
- A genuine interest in growing your technical garment knowledge over time
Nice to have
- Pattern making experience
- Familiarity with PLM or similar product lifecycle management systems
- Background in activewear, performance apparel or cycling specifically
- A personal interest in cycling and Attaquer's aesthetic
Success in this role looks like
- Samples and critical path tracked so precisely that nothing slips through the cracks, even across multiple styles at once
- Tech packs, specs and BOMs that are clean and factory-ready the first time
- Fit and construction issues caught early, before they become production problems
- Styles moving into bulk production with confidence, because PP samples were properly checked and signed off
- Quality issues caught early and resolved at the source, with patterns tracked so they don't recur
- The Product Innovation Lead trusts this person to run sample rounds and hold the timeline independently
