Training Plans: OrbKnit™️

A week of training on the Costa Blanca.

Through out the Winter just passed, Anthony Lorandi set up base camp in Calpe, Spain, where the Costa Blanca offers near-perfect riding conditions. The focus was on volume with some specific efforts to benchmark for the season ahead.

Monday: The Excitement Begins

120 KM | 2,300m Elevation

Excitement was high as we set off, tackling Port de Tudons, one of the longest climbs in the area with 15 KM at 5.3% gradient. Most of the ride was at a moderate effort in Zone 2. The rest of the ride was proper rolling terrain until a few short punchy climbs where we pushed harder to see how the legs responded after 4 hours of cycling.

Tuesday: The Steep One

122 KM | 2,600m Elevation

The word of the day: steep. After an easy start, we hit the famous Bernia climb, then made our way to Pego, where a narrow road of 6.6 KM at 10% gradient awaited. No pacing, no power targets, just getting to the summit, high enough to end up in the clouds. After a sketchy descent and another short, steep climb, we headed home for some well-earned recovery.

Wednesday: Recovery & Coffee

1 Hour Easy Ride + Two Coffee Stops

A proper coffee ride, taking full advantage of the warm and sunny weather.

Thursday: All-Out Effort

117 KM | 2,400m Elevation

One of the highlights of the week: an all-out effort up Coll de Rates, a little under 20 minutes of suffering. At the top, we pushed further to Super Rates, a secret 3 KM segment at 10% gradient. After that, we took it easy for the rest of the ride.

Friday: The Queen Stage

200 KM | 3,800m Elevation

This was a true test of endurance for 7 hours and 45 minutes of activity time. Starting from Calpe, we cycled through some of the hidden gems of the area such as Beniaia and Tollos before making our way to Benafallim. The kind of loop that will make you appreciate cycling even more.

Saturday: Empty the Tank

87 KM | 1,500 m Elevation

The legs were feeling it after Friday’s big ride, but we had one last day to enjoy. What started as an easy recovery ride turned into some unexpected attacks, and a final 20-minute all-out effort on Vall d’Ebo. The perfect way to wrap up the week.

Why choose the OrbKnit™ jersey for Casa Blanca’s heat?

OrbKnit™ is machined in Italy on advanced circular-knitting machines to create a seamless, second-skin race fit that moves with you. Sweat-mapping guides strategically placed mesh panels and integrated compression zones, so moisture is whisked away and airflow is maximised under the arms and across the back—even when temperatures hit 30 °C on those coastal climbs.

How does OrbKnit™ manage moisture and keep you cool?

The jersey’s clever weave patterns channel sweat from high-heat zones straight to the fabric surface, where it evaporates in a flash. Four-way stretch yarns and targeted ventilation stop chafing or cling, letting you stay dry and focused through every interval and descent.

Can the OrbKnit™ jersey handle mixed-terrain rides?

Absolutely. Whether you’re hammering pavement intervals or exploring gravel backroads, the race-cut silhouette and extreme stretch-recovery fabric ensure the jersey never rides up or loosens. It hugs your form on smooth tarmac and rough tracks alike, so you can push harder with zero distractions.

How should I care for my OrbKnit™ jersey after salty coastal spins?

Rinse in cool water immediately off the bike to flush out salt and sweat. Machine-wash on a gentle 30 °C cycle with a mild liquid detergent, skip fabric softeners and the tumble dryer, then hang to dry in the shade. This routine protects the bonded yarns and keeps that vibrant colour pop you expect from high-performance cycling apparel.

What sizes, colours and weights are available?

OrbKnit™ comes in short- and long-sleeve versions in Emerald and Black, for men and women in sizes XS–XL. The Men’s Medium short-sleeve weighs just 131 g, and the long-sleeve version clocks in at 140.9 g. Remember—that extreme stretch-recovery means it’ll feel snug off the hanger. Check our Fit Guide before you ride.
